The invitation

We would be honoured by your presence at the marriage of our children, Layan and Karam, on Friday the twenty-fifth of September, two thousand and twenty-six.
The evening begins in the garden at Jabal Al-Weibdeh with bitter coffee and the zaffeh, then moves down the hill to Abdoun for dinner and dancing.
Please reply by 1 September 2026 so we can seat you well. If your plans change after that, message us and we will fix it.
The evening, in order
Programme
Times are when things actually start, not when they are printed to start. Arrive by 7:45 PM if you would like coffee in the garden.
7:30 PM
Arrival & bitter coffee القهوة السادة
Guests are received in the garden at Dar Al-Yasmeen. Coffee is poured from the dallah — take the cup with your right hand.
8:00 PM
Zaffeh الزفة
Drums, bagpipes and the walk down the garden path. Please keep the centre aisle clear so the procession can pass.
8:30 PM
The ceremony
Vows and signing under the olive tree. Twenty minutes, seated.
9:15 PM
Dinner المنسف
Mansaf served family-style at Qasr Al-Bustan in Abdoun. Shuttles leave the garden at 9:00 PM.
10:30 PM
Dabke & dancing الدبكة
The floor opens with dabke, then the band plays until late. Cake at midnight.

Both venues are in Amman. Shuttles run between them, so you can leave your car at the garden.

Valet parking at the garden gate on Paris Square. Shuttles to Abdoun leave at 9:00 and 9:20 PM, and run back every half hour until 1:00 AM.

Long dresses and dark suits. The garden path is stone, so heels that can handle it.

A supervised room with dinner runs next to the ballroom for children under twelve.
